Alexander Light's blog is a thing made out of words, pictures and digital stuffs. It is not a thing specifically about Alexander Light. However, by virtue of acting as a receptacle for things Alexander Light regards as interesting or of value, it therefore must be a representative artifact of Alexander Light's current interests or state of mind. alexanderlight used to be a blog at http://alexanderlight.blogspot.com/ which is still there, should you feel the need to go deep. (p.s. I've not started routinely talking about myself in the 3rd person, I'm just trying to sort out my SEO rankings). Still here? Here's a list of people who I like and that I occasionally steal things from:

Have you heard the Sound of Orange RockCorps? It’s really the sound of you and of me.

We’ve very recently launched a project at Poke which is very dear to my heart. Partly because:

- With a bit of volunteering and care work in my background, I am a huge advocate of Orange RockCorps as one of the best things I’ve seen a brand do in a long time.

- It’s real and it has got me through some tough questions about where advertising and marketing is going to go long term. It has to go in this direction or it will eat itself. Horribly. And puke whatever it ate back up again…probably puny humans.

- The RockCorps guys are lovely, inspirational chaps and chapesses who know a good restaurant when it bites them on the ass.

- I’ve put actual physical blood, sweat, tears, urine and cerebro-spinal-fluid in to this project as have many.

- It’s a bit like the Flying Pickets.

Here is the amazing song that I have made using the Sound of Orange RockCorps, confirming that I have the singing voice of a choir of angels: http://www.orangerockcorps.co.uk/soundoforangerockcorps/p/263/

You’d never know that was the voice that sang Carmina Burana at the Royal Festival Hall in 1996 would you.

Go to http://sound.orangerockcorps.co.uk and have a go yourselves. Because you’re my Facebook friend, you’ll also be able to access the notes that I’ve recorded, should you feel the need for extreme aural pleasure.

I look forward to making your ear’s bleed and vice versa. Get to it!
